Thank you to Greg Clutter for his craftsmanship and donation of materials, we have a box that we fill with Blessings of food each week so that folks can stop and take what they need (or can leave items if they desire.) This box will be close to the mailbox and road so it’s clearly visible and easy to stop and get what they need. If you would like to contribute an item or two for this ministry, you can bring your items and put them in the long black tote in the narthex. Please see any council member if you have questions! Thank you!
Items needed for the Blessing Box: Canned Meat Cereal Peanut Butter/Cheese Crackers Soups Pasta Laundry Pods We are collecting plastic to get a second Trex bench made. We need to collect a 1,000 pounds of plastic in 12 months (October 31, 2024) to make the second bench. BAGS – (plastic grocery, bread, produce, dry cleaning, newspaper, ice, Ziploc baggies, cereal bags, bubble wrap), also plastic wrap on cases of water bottles, and pallet wrap. Everything must be clean! We have three (3) collection containers: one in the narthex, one in the Sunday school annex, and one in the social hall. Update: We collected 187 pounds of recyclable plastic during the month of October! Great job! |
